Adventists Believe...

  •  Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God.  He is the eternal Self-Existent One through whom all things were created.  The eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ; prophesied to be born of a virgin, and would suffer and die for our sins and in our place.  (Heb. 1:1-3, Colo. 1:16-18, Eph. 3:9, Isaiah 7:14).
  •  The Cross of Calvary.  On the cross, God paid the penalty for man’s sin, reconciling the world to Himself in His Son.  The wages of sin is death. But by believing on Him and receiving the grace of Christ’s shed blood on the cross, we have the promise of eternal life.  “Not of works lest anyone should boast.” (John 3:16, Rom 5:19-21, Eph. 2:8,9).
  • The Commandments of God are expressive of God’s character and still relevant today. Because of our love for Jesus and gratitude for His sacrificial death on the cross, we want to obey Him.  Because we are saved by grace, we choose to keep His commandments which express God’s love, will and purpose and is evidence of our love for God and concern for our fellow men. (John 14:15, Exd 20:1-17, Rom. 7:12).
  • Jesus is Coming Again.  As a people who understand Bible Prophecy, we believe the Scriptures reveal that we are living very near to the second coming of Christ.  It is the blessed hope of the church, the great climax of the gospel and history.  Jesus’ coming will be literal, personal, and visible.  And though we do not know the exact time, we are exhorted to be ready at all times. (John 14:1-3, Rev 1:7, Titus 2:13, Acts 1:9-11).

Seventh-day Adventists Have a Passion for Jesus
As a Christian church, Jesus is at the heart of who we are.  New Testament believers were amazed at His love, transformed by His grace, and witnessed through His power. They shared a Christ they knew and testified of a love that was real.  As Christ changes lives, we cannot be silent. More >>
